TOURNAMENTS provides limited-time tournaments for players to go in by themselves and submit a score to a global leaderboard that other users are also submitting to.Within Challenges mode, there’s “PGA Coach Skill Center” which is a great way to learn more about game mechanics, shot types, and the game of golf in general. Ranging anywhere from a 4 hole challenge to recreating a golfer’s hot streak from a recent PGA Tour event, to single shot challenges where you, for example, are given 5 opportunities to hit a specific shot, challenges are short yet difficult moments for you to grow your skills and earn rewards. CHALLENGES provides bite-sized experiences of various lengths. You’ll hear more about that during our career mode deep dive in the coming weeks. CAREER MODE is an offline mode that will be playable at launch (but will require an online connection).Quick play can also be played as local multiplayer (couch co-op) with up to 4 golfers offering varying ways to compete such as match play, skins, alternate shot rules, and more. What game modes (online and offline) are available in-game? Ball Reactions depending on terrain type and course Conditions.Velocity & spin reduction from adverse terrain (like rough). The full list of aspects that impact your shot are listed below This way you’ll be thinking more “golf” and less “golf swing” only.Ī variety of factors like club and shot type all impact your shot but most of all, course dynamics and ball behavior like wind, altitude, terrain reactions, ball dribbling, and more will impact your shot. The challenge of your shot appears in a split between pre-shot decisions like club and shot types, with swing execution and placement based on course dynamics. Good luck! **edit - it would appear that either the achievement wording is misleading, or the achievement itself is bugged - either way, as per feedback it would appear that winning the Fed Ex Cup is not good enough to unlock the achievement, and that you must actually win the last tournament to be able to get the achievement. There’s a reason players and caddies talk before their shot to best achieve success on the course so you’ll experience this in the pre-shot decisions you’ll have to make for a great shot. Also, when you go into the last round, see who are in the top 5 of the Fed Ex - you can still win the Fed Ex even if you don't win the last tournament as long as no-one in the top 5 beats you. As there are a lot of points on offer for the last 2 (Deutsche Bank and Tour Championship I believe) I would suggest you play them. The last 4 tournaments are technically a competition within, so be careful as if you drop too low in the rankings you could actually not be eligible for the next round (top 30 is crucial). If anyone get within 500 I would always play the next one. Assuming you are winning all the majors for achievements, you will gain a lot of points, and what I would do is skip some of the lesser tournaments, but always check that I was still leading the points. To help you can track where you are by looking under the Fed Ex rankings in the stats page. Also, the points increase as the year goes, so for example the last tournament carries loads more points than the first tournament. Don't ask me how the points accumulate but needless to say, the better you do the more points you get. I think the first thing to understand is that the Fed Ex Cup is a season long competition, whereby the winner is the person who racks up the most Fed Ex points during the year - not necessarily the winner of the last event.
